On November 6, Chef Zach Meloy of Atlanta’s Better Half will be hosting a rousing pop up at Rojo, a renowned Birmingham Latin and American cuisine restaurant located in the Highland area of Birmingham.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception featuring select Better Half cocktails and canapes at 7:00 p.m. Following the cocktail reception, guests will sit down at 7:30 p.m. to enjoy a three course pre-fixe menu with wine pairings. Candies and cordials will follow to close the evening. Tickets are $100/diner and include tax and gratuity. A portion of the ticket sales will go to the Alabama Environmental Council, the state’s oldest environmental group.
Better Halves Dinner with Zach Meloy & Hector Santiago
Two is typically better than one, especially when it comes to two Chefs putting together a memorable dinner for a great cause. On November 16, join Chef Zach Meloy of Better Half and Chef Hector Santiago of El Super Pan for a collaborative dinner, with a portion of proceeds going towards aide for Puerto Rico through Ser Familia.
Held at Better Half, guests will start off the evening with a cocktail reception featuring select cocktails and canapes at 6:30 p.m. Following the cocktail reception, guests will sit down at 7:00 p.m. to enjoy a six-course collaborative chef dinner complete with wine pairings. Tickets for dinner are $125 per person and includes wine pairings per course, tax and gratuity. Tickets can be purchased on Brown Paper Tickets.

New Years Eve Dinner
Reminisce on 2017 and celebrate the new year at Better Half! For $90/person, guests will ring in the new year with a five-course dinner menu finishing with candy and cordial to round out the night. Additional wine pairings are available for $35 and each guest will receive a champagne pour as well to get the evening off to the right start. These spots are going quick, so make sure to reserve your spot on Resy.

Dig Cocktails and Castoffs
Join Development in Gardening (DiG) on Sunday, November 12 as they explore the power food has to heal and transform. DiG’s 4th annual Cocktails and Castoffs event will challenge 8 acclaimed local chefs, including our very own Zach Meloy, as they prepare dishes that leave zero food waste behind. In addition to inspiring food, cocktails and a festive atmosphere, the event will feature a silent auction and African marketplace. Let Better Half save you some stress this Thanksgiving. The Midtown favorite will be serving up Thanksgiving Dinner on November 23 for Atlantans to enjoy with friends and family.
